Our Venue

Originally the Schultze Store and Hardware Company, the Pavilion by Hilton is a two-story Victorian structure built in 1891 by Hermann Schultze, a native of Berlin, Germany. The hand-picked wood used in the design is from the Steves Lumber Yard which was the first lumber yard in San Antonio, featuring cast iron columns from Alamo Iron Works, parapet walls, and a flat roof. The first story served as a warehouse for the stove and hardware business and the second story contained rooms and apartments. During Hemisfair, the historic address was 115 Goliad Street, and served as the Humble Tour Center for tourists and travel information, with displays and film presentations during HemisFair.
